Brangelina ask for 95 per cent discount on hotel stay
This headline can be interpreted as having a negative connotation. It initially sounded to me like the media was trying to make it sound like Brangelina are some spoiled cheap celebrities. Keep in mind that these two reportedly have a net worth of $180 million, donated $8 million to their foundation last year, and probably give away more money than most people will see in a lifetime. A few years back when they first got together Brad Pitt was quoted as saying that Angie gives away so much money that sometimes he thinks she only works so she can give more money away. That will explain why her net worth is only estimated at $35 million even though she is commanding close to $20 million a pic. Anyhoo, here is a possible reason they say the stars people asked for the discount:
“sources close to the couple say they didn’t ask for the discount because they couldn’t afford the price, they simply wanted to stick to the budget for Tree of Life.”
They also mentioned:
“Angelina has also been in touch with the property managers about holding a fundraising event at the resort, another possible reason for asking for the discount.”
Keep in mind also that celebrities get free things all of the time and the resort also have lots of ways to make money off of Brad and Angie staying there.
